Update 44 [hovering iPad]

Jim has some truly remarkable friends, I suppose like attracts like. They have built an incredible metal frame and fashioned a lovely wooden plate to support an iPad to hang over him so he can watch shows. His friend apparently lamented over and went through several pieces of quality hardwood trying to find the perfect segment. The stream of “findin de right wood fuh Jim” jokes were truly limitless.

It needs to be quite close to his face as he doesn’t have his contacts in and his glasses are a kind of coke-bottle-thick uncomfortable. Trudy and I have already amused ourselves with ideas of how much more ludicrous the whole situation would become should it fall and clobber him in the head.

At least now he can watch something other than the ceiling to pass the hours by.

  1. My congratulations to the genius, wow, this is wonderful. God please, help Jim for as you know he is a very special human beeing. XXX

  2. Uncle Jim , Just here in Ga, minding cows and bulls bro! Jim we first met some 26 years ago before I married Charlene. You had cooked a big pot of dolphin stew down on the beach in Tobago, man I had never tasted anything like it! While the rest of the bunch were busy sizing me, up you and I had good conversation. I always appreciated that. This life we live in Ive come to find is very unpredictable Jim. I have now lived through three tours across in the shit hole. Twice ,in Baghdad Iraq , Once in the Hill country of Afghganistan, Ive been blown up by a Rocket, Mortered until I chocked on the fumes . Got blasted by a rocket that knocked me out while talking on the phone with Charlene. I lost a team mate that was shot in Afghanistan, that took my place on a run to Mazar Shariff, for medical supplys. God only knows ! As you recover Jim I want to encourage you , and let you know I will be praying for you and your precious family. I cant make it down for Christmas with the family but sending my son to represent. Caleb is a 1st Lt.in the USMC destined to fly jets. He and I will do Christmas here with my folks in Ga. Hang in there Jim and let time heal! Ill be looking forward to our next conversation Jim when I can see the one and only ElPricko up and healthy again !!! Semper Fi Kevin
